Process Is Part of the Story

Finished work can look wonderfully inevitable. In reality, it usually begins with a loose thread: a reference, a rhythm, a conversation, or an idea that refuses to leave the room. The work develops through research, testing, editing, and the useful friction of asking what else it could become.

Good creative work leaves room for surprise, while still knowing where it wants to go.
